Sakat Chauth Pujan Vidhi & Story of Tilkuta Vrat
On the day of Sakat Chauth Vrat, after taking bath early in the morning, take a resolution of Nirjala or Falahar Vrat by taking a coin, flower, and water in hand.
In the auspicious time in the evening, when worship is to be done, smear it with cow dung and keep a post of worship after sprinkling Ganges water. Spread a clean yellow cloth on the post.
Make a swastika with kumkum on a betel leaf and keep it in front of Ganapati. Now offer Betel Nut, Cloves, Cardamom, Red or Yellow Flowers, Five Fruits, Incense, Lamp, Roli, Molly, Turmeric, Mehndi, Akshat, Vermilion, Seasonal to Ganpati ji.
Offer 21 Durva lumps in pairs. A special Bhog of sesame seeds is offered during this fast. Offer Tilkut by mixing jaggery and cow’s ghee in sesame or 11 laddus of sesame can also be offered as Bhog. This does not hinder everyone’s work.
